Black Man, Running
“Black Man, Running” is a series of performances and public runs (as in a jog or a footrace) that address issues of race, public space, safety and democracy. We’re organizing three runs in different U.S. cities, each of which will be part of a whole “package” of story-gathering and community dialogues. We’ll be creating a template that other communities can use to produce “Black Man, Running” events in their own communities, and we expect to be the resource center for upwards of 25 runs nationwide.
Narrative Arts is grateful to The MAP Fund for support of “Black Man, Running.”
