Resilience Film Festival

More than a year after Hurricane Florence, the Resilience Film Festival tells the stories of Hurricane Florence’s far-reaching effects and the importance of resilient communities.  In 2020 the festival will tour coastal communities in North Carolina and beyond as a way of connecting our local stories to other impacted communities.  Interested in hosting a screening?  Fill out the linked form and our community engagement team will contact you.

The festival films were produced by 9 citizen journalists as part of our Resiliency Media Fellows cohort. The program is a media training program created out of Narrative Arts’ commitment to underserved communities and underrepresented stories.

We believe that good journalism and good democracy go hand in hand. As coastal community members use media to tell their own stories, they become an instrumental part of a civic engagement process that helps community members come together to understand, confront, and solve pressing community challenges.  Contact us at info@narrativearts.org with any questions and sign up to host a screening in 2020 here.
