After the Storm: Journalism and Coastal North Carolina
It’s been over six months since Hurricane Florence rolled ashore here in coastal North Carolina. On March 22nd, as part of a series of community engagement events focused on building equitable partnerships between coastal communities and media organizations, we gathered a panel of journalists to talk about the challenges of covering Florence and its lasting impacts. We were joined by WWAY News’ Marcy Cuevas, WECT News’s Frances Weller, Wilmington Star News’ Adam Wagner, and Noo Covers host Dawuud El-Amin. The panel was broadcast on Impact Radio: 104.9 FM.
