Un/Alone (2022)
Un/Alone
Directed by Kevin Lee-Y Green and developed through story circles involving an elder care facility and youth group, Un/Alone addresses the public health issue of loneliness, delving into the dynamics of community connections in coastal North Carolina.
Un/Alone effectively illustrates the interplay between public space, community culture, and social capital, shedding light on the stories of individuals affected by loneliness and their endeavors to forge connections. Un/Alone engages the individual and the collective community through spoken word, movement, and monologues.
In the second act of the performance, audience members are invited to share a meal, symbolizing a communal act and further reinforcing the theme of community within the production.
